Taurus New Moon
Happy Taurus New Moon!
A new moon is the beginning of a new 29 day lunar cycle. One could then say this is the beginning of a new, temporary era + thus, new moons usher in a new energy for the next month or so. In astrology, a new moon is created when the Sun is conjunct the Moon - the sun shining a light on the matters of the moon energy. The new moon brings in a new focus for us for the next month + is seen as a good time to plant seeds for new, beautiful beginnings.
This new moon is in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is a feminine earth sign that carries “fixed” energy. Taurus is the sign of foundations, stability, + security. It is connected to the energy of “Mother Nature” representing the glue of the earth that holds everything in place. Taurus also deals with the five senses + thus our primal energies + functions that connect us to being a human. It covers not only all of the things that we as humans need but it also covers all of the pleasures of humans. This is because Taurus is ruled by Venus and therefore has to do with all things art, beauty, food, + rest. In our society, money is what makes the world go round and is what brings most people security. Because of this, Taurus also represents finances, income, and material assets.
So, when you blend the energy of a new moon with the energy of Taurus, you can expect new beginnings surrounding all (or some) of the things mentioned above. This is considered a great time to invest into new financial endeavors, new projects that require building, things that can provide security for yourself, etc. However, it is important to note that Taurus is “slow, but steady” energy as it is fixed. Because of this, this is not the time to expect a quick turnaround on your investments and projects. These seeds will take some time to sprout but because it requires time these new investments will, for the most part, come with a strong foundation + thus longevity (as long as you give it the much needed TLC).
The new moon in Taurus will be at the 21st degree (a Sagittarius degree), on a Tuesday (the day of Mars), and is on a numerology day 3 (which carries the energy of Jupiter). We can say that with this energy this adds some luck to the new moon + that the new moon will require some action + fire to see results. Although it will be tempting to sit back and relax with the Taurus energy, it is important to get moving so that you can push past the New Moon-Saturn square. Encouragement + motivation will be needed so I advise activating the solar plexus chakra, moving your physical body through some form of fitness, + avoiding depressing isolations as much as possible, lol.
With the New Moon being square (tension) Jupiter + Saturn, there may be some obstacles when it comes to feelings of laziness + being unproductive. However, the laziness won’t be as “fulfilling” as it may normally tend to be. This is because although physically you want to do nothing - spiritually your soul wants fulfillment in some way. There is a battle between your goals + spiritual growth vs your desire to rest + relax. However, squares are not completely bad. Squares can actually be the perfect catalyst to see profound change. Because of this, like I mentioned before, you’re going to want to get yourself moving and allow the frustration of not being spiritually (or financially) fulfilled push you (especially when it comes to your long term goals, career, your impact on this world, etc). With the New Moon sextile (opportunity) Neptune in Pisces, this can be a great time to surround yourself with motivating friends + social groups that embody the energy that falls in line with your spiritual goals + ideals. Friends, social groups, networking, social media, and/or your community can act as a lucrative bridge for you to help achieve your goals + desires.
Random Insight/Predictions: As I mentioned on Twitter, as far as investing, the best things to invest into right now are long term investments within Taurean industries (finances, earth/plant based industries, art, wheat, carpenting, music, purses, beauty, food, etc). Don't expect super quick turnarounds on anything you're investing in either - these are long term gains + wins. There is a heightened potential for aggression, violence, and/or arguments surrounding religion, politics, and/or humanitarian causes so I would refrain from these discussions. This is not the time to lend/invest money (that you care to lose) as it can cause emotional quarrels or you will find it hard to get back in the future. Potential family fights. Perfect time to wrap up a project.
